Introducing your puppy to the grooming salon at an early age helps build confidence and trust. It also allows for a health check and reassurance that your puppy is in safe caring hands.

Your puppy is introduced slowly in small sessions, finally leading to the big full groom. These stages entail desensitisation to the salon, noises, myself and the grooming process. Your puppy will then receive a free puppy goody bag!

I use products at the right Ph for your puppy’s skin and hair to ensure the best results and care. There is always time for a small wee break for your puppy in the safe and secure garden attached to the salon.

Your puppy will benefit knowing it is a friendly environment with breaks and play time too.

What age can I bring my Puppy?

From 8-12 weeks which will get your puppy used to the grooming process with routine.

How long will it take to groom my puppy?

3 sessions of two half hour slots, leading to a third fully groomed puppy. Included is a free puppy package.

What is included free?

Puppy packages with toy, treats with two desensitisation sessions and more!

How it works?

A puppy can be introduced to the grooming salon from 8-12 weeks or after the second lot of vaccinations. Puppy will become familiar with the grooming salon by way of introduction known as desensitisation sessions.

Your puppy will be treated individually and cared for to a high standard ensuring safety and the welfare of your puppy at all times. Puppy will receive love, kindness, professionalism, play and praise.

We send updates of your puppies first adventures in the grooming salon to ensure reassurance to you as owners!. It is important to me that you are happy and reassured.

“Ted went for his first groom today he is a cockapoo and he is 8 months old.

Tracie fitted him in at such short notice and when we arrived Tracie instantly let Ted loose to sniff around his new environment and to settle in.

Ted was smitten as soon as he met Tracie and I instantly trusted Tracie and knew Ted would be in safe hands (which I don’t usually do on first meeting someone) so this was very comforting for myself and for Ted.

Tracie made sure to take her time with Ted and made sure to give him breaks when needed to allow him time which I thought was amazing. I got photos throughout the groom and you could tell he was so calm and happy.

He was given a toy and a bow tie with a bag and a shampoo seen as it’s his puppy groom which I thought was lovely. Tracie even saved some of his baby hair for me which I thought was so thoughtful seen as I didn’t even ask 🩷

I wouldnt go anywhere else and will continue to go to Tracie,

The prices are amazing for how much time is spent with your doggy and he looks, feels and smells amazing. 🥰

What will I expect?

A high standard of care and communication is paramount. You can rest assured that your puppy will receive 1-1 care with no other pets in the salon.

A puppy package is designed for your bundle of joy to have a fun experience and enjoy future grooms. This is aimed to ensure your puppy builds a rapport with the groomer gaining trust and adjusting to a new environment slowly. It is broken down into the sessions below…

1st session

The first visit without you is very relaxed, it’s important to allow your puppy to feel safe, build trust and not have separation anxiety.

Half hour introduction

Play

Off lead interaction

Introduction to some salon noises

Plenty of cuddles and a play in the safe secure garden

2nd session

This is 45 minutes

This is aimed to get your puppy used to the sound and noises in the salon. During this session your puppy….

Will go on the table

Sniff around the salon

Have nails trimmed

Sanitary area trimmed

Pads cleaned

Ears cleaned

Eyes trimmed of hair

Spray of dog cologne

Third Session

By the time puppy has visited three times, they are usually ready for the full groom. This could take up to two hours as time and patience are essential, as your pup will need a calm, unhurried environment to feel comfortable and secure.

On the third groom your puppy will be..

Be fully styled to your requirements

Be given a puppy package which includes a certificate of achievement, gifts for your puppy and a lock of puppies baby hair for you to treasure.

Spray of dog cologne

Receive a bow for their collar

Since we take a holistic approach and treat each dog individually, an additional desensitisation session may be needed. This will be discussed and arranged as necessary. Ideally, sessions should be scheduled 2-3 weeks apart to ensure continuity and the best progress for your puppy.

Your puppy must be no older than 7 months to attend a puppy package.
